Hyundai Repair: Inside Lights come on during right turn, 2004 hyundai sonata, door latch

Question
No there has not been an accident before.  The lights & beep noise only come when a sharp right turn is made, but does not happen when a sharp left turn is made when driving.  Do you think it is still a door latch problem.  Thanks again...Harry

-----Question-----
I have a 2004 Hyundai Sonata V6 with over 33,000 miles on it.  When driving for the past 3 weeks the interior lights all of the suddden turn on (same lights and beep noise that come one when you open the door when car is parked and running) when I make a right turn or turn the wheel slightly right on the road.  Is this a fuse problem or loose wire problem by the steering whee?  Thank you for your help.
-----Answer-----
Since you hear the door chime, I'd suspect a driver's door adjustment issue, causing the door switch to make contact and cause the vehicle to think the door is open.

You might check to be sure your door latch is secure.

Has this vehicle been in an accident that damaged the left side of the car?

Answer
A loose door driver's door latch or the driver's door needing adjustment are by far the leading causes.  While sitting in the driver's seat, push out on the bottom rear of the door.  If the dome lamp comes on, you definitely have an issue with the door not depressing the door switch far enough (or a defective door switch).
