Hyundai Repair: replacing bulb in hyndai elantra, elantra, tail lamp

How do you replace the bulb in the rear light for 2004 hyndai elantra?

Answer
For the sedan, open the trunk and open the access flap in front of the tail lamp.  Then remove the three 8mm nuts holding the lamp in place.  The lamp removes straight rearward.  If you have difficulty getting the lamp to come out, you may need to bang on the plastic nub on the inside of the trunk in order to push out the lamp alignment pin.

For the hatchback, open the hatch and remove the access cover to the lamp.  You can then service the bulbs from inside the vehicle.
