Question
Could some one help me with the removal of a water pump for the 2000 Accent GL 1.5 12V SOHC.
Also, IF needed, Crank Pulley removal. (turn left or right)

Thanks,

Answer
I've listed a procedure for you below.  It's based on my recollection on how to remove the water pump.  If anything appears out of place, be sure to let your logic dictate what you should do.  If you have any questions about the procedure, please follow up.  You'll need to remove the timing belt to do the job, so if your timing belt is not fairly new, it's probably a good idea to replace your timing belt along with the water pump.  Similarly, you may wish to replace the drive belts.

1.  Remove the negative battery cable.
2.  Support the engine with a jack (and block of wood) and remove the enigne mount.
3.  Loosen the four 10mm water pump pulley bolts.
4.  Remove the alternator belt.
5.  Remove the power steering belt.
6.  Remove the water pump pulleys.
7.  Remove the alternator upper bracket.
8.  Remove the A/C belt.
9.  Remove the crankshaft pulley (turning bolt counterclockwise).
10.  Remove the timing covers.
11.  Rotate the engine to align the timing marks at TDC.
12.  Loosen the timine belt tensioner bolts.
13.  Pry the timing belt tensioner away from the belt and clamp in place with the clamping bolt.
14.  Remove the timing belt.
15.  Remove the timing belt tensioner and idler pulleys.
16.  Remove the water pump.
