Hyundai Repair: horn and speedometer broke, vehicle speed sensor, speedometer cable

Question
First my horn stopped working.  Then my speedometer has started sporadically working then not working.  Suggestions?

Answer
An inoperative horn is almost always caused by the horn(s) itself.  If you'd like to check, unplug one horn and check with a test light between the two terminals while someone presses the horn button.  If the lamp lights, you'll know the horn is bad because you've just checked the entire circuit except the horn itself.

In most cases, an inoperative speedometer is caused by a failed speedometer cable or vehicle speed sensor.  The year and model of your vehicle will determine which you have.
