Hyundai Repair: Passenger side rear view mirror, rear view mirror, mirror assemblies

I broke the passenger side rear view mirror only on a 2002 Santa Fe and can't figure out how to get the new one back on.  The mirror came by itself with no other parts.  What am I doing wrong?

The mirror glass snaps into place.  You'll need to press rather hard to get it to snap in.  

It's possible that some of the parts you need on the mirror assembly are broken or missing.  If that's the case, you'll need to replace the entire mirror assembly.  

If you continue having trouble installing the mirror, you'll probably need to have someone familiar with mirror assemblies look at it and determine whether part of the assembly is missing or broken.
