Hyundai Repair: Will not start., fuel pressure gauge, hyundai elantra

Question
I was driving my 1999 Hyundai Elantra last evening.  It stalled and will not restart.  I checked spark and all four plugs show spark.  I put a stethoscope on the bottom of the gas tank and could hear the fuel pump running.  I cannot check for fuel pressure but all the plugs smelled of fuel.  It will turn over okay and provide spark.  Lots of gas in the tank.  Do not know what is wrong.  Can you provide any suggestions???

Thanks,

Justin

Answer
You'll probably want to check your camshaft timing.  It's possible the timing belt broke or slipped.  If not, you might want to check the compression.  At some point, though, if you continue to not find anything, you'll probably need to obtain and install a fuel pressure gauge to check whether you have any fuel pressure.
