Hyundai Repair: therm. hot, coolant level, warranty repair

Question
Have a Hyundai Tib 2004, runs fine until after driving about 10 minutes, thermostat goes to the highest point...red.  Coolant level seems fine, no leaks, fans work.... any advice?

Answer
Your thermostat is probably stuck shut.  If you have less than 60,000 miles, have the car *towed* to the dealer for warranty repair.  Since you're within the five year period, Hyundai roadside assistance should provide free towing to the nearest dealer.

Absolutely do not attempt to drive the vehicle.  If the engine gets too hot, it will permanently damage the cylinder head, among other items.
