hi, i have a 2003 hyundai tiburon, 104,000 miles.
when i fill the car with gas, it won't start. the rpms go to zero, and i have to keep my foot on the gas so the rpms will stay up. it takes about 4 trys. then it runs ok until i put gas in again. hyundai dealership and another mechanic say they have never heard of this before.

Your purge control valve is probably stuck open.  This will allow the fuel vapors in your tank to be pushed into your intake manifold when you fuel the vehicle, resulting in flooding the engine.  Hence, you have difficulty starting it after refueling.
