Hyundai Repair: H.I.D. or xenon light bulbs, xenon light bulbs, halogen bulbs

Question
Can you give me your opinion as to whether HID or xenon lightbulbs would give me considerably better night vision than  halogen bulbs.  If they would be a worthwhile investment, can you suggest some brands to look at and do you know what I should expect to pay for them.  
Also, would I just need the bulb or a kit.  We have a 2006 Sonata, 2002 Elantra, 1998 Accent.

To get any significant improvement, you'd need a kit.  If it's just a bulb, it won't actually be H.I.D. or Xenon.  Actual xenon or H.I.D. bulbs require a very high voltage to excite the atoms.  I don't know what such a kit would cost, but I know that it'll be more than any headlamp could possibly be worth.
