Hyundai Repair: 2002 Accent door handle, technical service bulletins, manual windows

Question
The outside door  handle broke in my 2002 accent, driver's side.  The inside one works fine.  Is this a repair I can to myself, or do I need special tools and do I need to take the inside door panel off?
Thanks,

Answer
You'll need to remove the trim panel to do this.  If you've got manual windows, the window crank is a little tricky to remove.  Other than that, it's pretty straightforward.

For guidance, have a look at the shop manual at www.hmaservice.com.  You'll need to register for a free account, and the site requires Internet Explorer.

Disclaimer:  I didn't check in advance to see what they listed as a procedure for this repair.  Sometimes the information leaves much to be desired.  But there is a great amount of information to be found there via the shop manuals, schematics, and technical service bulletins.  If you find that you need more information to remove the door panel and replace the handle, let me know and I'll try to guide you through it.
