Hyundai Repair: keyless entry system, keyless entry system, previous question

Question
Reguarding my previous question on the lights not blinking when I tried to lock my 2005 xg using the keyless remote. Like you said, I found the hood switch was slightly out of adjustment, so light blinks now, but I still can't get the confirmation chirp back. It use to chirp when I locked it,(pushing the lock twice) but at least it's armed now. Thanks again for your help, and if you can come up with something else for me to check, I'd appreciate it.

Answer
Check to see whether the siren operates.  Roll your windows down (or get inside the car) and lock the car with the remote (causing the lamp flash for acknowledgement of arming).  Then unlock one of the doors from the inside and open it.  The siren should sound.

If it does, you might want to go back and recheck your owner's manual.  I don't have any reliable way to get one immediately, or I'd look this up.  I'm thinking that the XG may not have a confirmation chirp.
