Hyundai Repair: radio, bulbs, headlights

I have the upgraded radio in a 2002 santa fe lx with cassette and cd. My question is should the display window light up when the headlights are on? My radio lights all the other buttons but not the display. Is this normal? And if not can you buy replacements bulbs for this radio?  The Hyundai parts site does not list any bulbs for their radios. By the way the display does work and can be seen clearly in the daylight but not at night.

Depending on which Hyundai radio this is, the display should illuminate anytime the radio is on, or whenever the parking lamps are on.  To my knowledge, the display bulb is not serviceable-- it would require soldering.

If this is not a Hyundai radio, the operation of the display illumination will vary by radio.  In that case, you should consult the manual for the radio or the manufacturer of the radio.  Aftermarket radios may or may not have serviceable bulbs.
