Hyundai Repair: A/C and heat dont blow any air, hyundai accent, blower motor

Question
I have a 95 Hyundai Accent, the air was blowing fine for a while but then on occasion is would just stop and come back on later. Sometimes all I had to do is hit the dash and it would turn back on but not anymore. It doesnt blow with the A/C or the heat on. What is causing that to not run because with out my defrost I really cant see out.

Answer
You'll need to check the system to see where the problem is.  The number one cause on this vehicle is the blower motor itself.  To test, simply unplug the blower motor and insert a voltmeter or test light into the two terminals.  If the voltmeter reads approximately 12 Volts (or the test lamp lights) when the blower is turned on (key on, too), then the blower motor is bad.  If that doesn't happen, you'll need to hunt down where in the power or ground circuit the problem is.  Since hitting the dash was making it come on, I'd check the blower switch next.  Since your blower doesn't work on any speed, we can rule out the resistor block.
