Hyundai Repair: roter replacement, phillips head screws, wheel hub

Question
i have gotten the caliper off of the roter, but i cant seem to remove the roter could you please inform me of what i need to  do to safely remove my roter

Answer
Hi, Andy.

If your rotor mounts in front of the wheel hub, you'll need to remove the two Phillips head screws to get the rotor off.  Many times the rotor rusts in place, and you'll need to use a heavy plastic or brass hammer to knock it loose.

If your rotor mounts behind the wheel hub, you'll need to remove the wheel hub to get the rotor off.  On some cars, this will likely involve replacing the hub bearing as well.

If you can tell me the year and model of your car, I should be able to tell you which setup you have.
