Hyundai Repair: repairs, clutch disc, hyundai accent

Question
hi i have a 96 Hyundai accent(manual)i would like to know if it has a damaged transmission mount if this can cause the car to cut out SOMETIMES when i come to a stop(even though i have the clutch pushed in way on time)

Answer
I cannot think of any way the transmission mount could make the car stall.  It won't affect the clutch disengagement because the clutch is hydraulic and all the moving parts from the release cylinder on are mounted to the transmission or engine.

If the clutch is staying engaged, you should first check the clutch hydraulic system to be sure it's operating properly, i.e. no leaks and the release cylinder moves full stroke.  After that, you'd be looking at the clutch disc and pressure plate.

But this could also be a fuel management problem.  You could have a problem with anything necessary for the engine to idle properly.
