Hyundai Repair: gas tank release, fuse box, couple issues

Question
I have a 2001 300xg and having trouble with inside gas tank release lever, has stopped working and now have to use release from inside trunk. Is there a fuse for this problem or sensor? If a fuse which one?

Answer
Both the trunk release and fuel release receive power from fuse #24 in the inside fuse box.  If your trunk release works or you can hear the trunk release solenoid click when you pull the trunk release button, the fuse is okay.

The most frequent issue is the switch on the door panel.  To test, you'd either need to remove the door panel and check for power in/out of the fuel door release switch when the button is depressed.

I've heard of a couple issues with the wiring between the switch and the release solenoid breaking and creating an open circuit.  I've never heard of the solenoid being the actual cause of the problem, but that doesn't make it impossible, either.
