I have a 96 accent. Could you please give me all the steps in doing the rear brakes(Drum. I cant get the drum off. Is there a clip or something that needs to be taken off? Please help!!
Thanks in advance!!

Answer -
There may be a phillips screw holding the drum in place.  If you've taken that out, or it's not there, the drum is most likely rusted in place.  Usually a few good whacks with a heavy hammer will break the drum loose.  If you cannot get the drum over the shoes after you've broken it loose, you'll need to remove the console and loosen the parking brake adjustment to give yourself additional clearance.

Once you've got the drums off, replacing the shoes is pretty much a matter of removing the old shoes and installing the new ones, transferring the hardware over.  Removing the wheel hub will get you additional working room.  The things that make this job difficult are the finess required to remove and install the parts and the number of parts and how they're oriented.

It'd be my recommendation that if you haven't replaced drum brake shoes before, you should have someone present who has done it before.  They don't necessarily need to do the work, but they'll be able to guide you as to what you need to do to get things apart and get them back together.

Take the drums off both sides first.  Then work on only one wheel at a time.  That way, if you forget how something goes together, you can look at the other side.  Once you've got both sides done, you'll want to set the adjusters so that the shoes just barely rub the drum.

Answer
You'll either need to get it unscrewed (with an impact driver or vise grips or something similar), or you'll need to drill the head off.  The drum won't come off the hub while the screw is in place.

You could try to take the drum and hub off together by removing the dust cover and hub nut.  But I suspect you'll have trouble adjusting the shoes properly if you do this.
