Hyundai Repair: 2005 Hyundai Sonata 6cyl/2.5L Engine, 2005 hyundai sonata, hyundai sonata

Question
My Sonata is fantastic in every way but for the last few months I've had a couple occuring 'oddities.'  1) Even though my radio will be off when I turn off the car, later when I start the engine the radio will automatically go back on/antenna goes up.  The whole bit.  2) After I've driven a few miles, my steering wheel makes a squeeking noice when I turn it.  Perfectly quiet otherwise, just when I turn the wheel.  Sounds like if I just added some WD40 somewhere it would be fine, but I hesitate to do that since I don't know if that is even recommended.

Neither of these seem so serious I would spend money to get them fixed.  However, could either be a future problem waiting to happen if I ignore them?

Answer
1.  Some radios experience problems where they turn themselves on/off.  If you're still within the 3 year/36,000 mile radio warranty, you should have this addressed by the dealer.

2.  There shouldn't be a problem with you lubricating things.  Just be careful to wipe off anything that gets on your trim to prevent discoloring.  In most cases, sounds like what you describe originate from the shaft seal in the steering rack.  If you have less than 60,000 miles on your car, this should be covered by your warranty as well.
