Question
i have a 2002 hyundai elentra gls i think its a 2.0 i had problems a few day back my a/c compreser would turn of the on again my transmission would not shift right ,and my rpm would acelerate fast then slow so i scanned it and gave me the code for throttle/pedal position sensor poor performance, but the check engine would come on and off.one day i would have it on ,then have it of for 2-3 days but yesterday i was at a light  when it turn green i steped on the peddale and it would only go to 25mph and i had the paddle to the floor and it would hesatate,i seen the check engine stayed on now and gave me the same code i think this sensor finally got messup do you think its that if i buy it new do i have to adjust it or just put it on how it comes please help

Answer
The problem is probably with the throttle position sensor.  When they begin to fail they will alternate working and not working.  In nearly every instance that a throttle position sensor code was returned, the issue was the throttle position sensor.

Replacement is simple.  Just unbolt the old one (after removing the engine cover) and bolt the new one in place.  There's no adjustment for the throttle position sensor on this car.
