I started having transmission problems about 4 months ago. Check engine light started going off and on, I was told it need transmission repairs. I hd the transmission rebulit, and 2 weeks later the check engine light starting coming back on and the car was shifting hard. I took it and the error code is P1529 when I called the dealership to ask what the code was I was told they would need to see the car and the cost would be $88 for them to tell what the problems is. The auto parts store said they think it is the speed censor, my friend who had the same problem said hers was the transmission control module. HELP

P1529 means nothing more than the transmission control module (TCM) requested for the engine control module (ECM) to turn on the check engine lamp.  To find out what sort of issue you have, you'll need to read the codes in the TCM.  If the auto parts place is unable to do that, you'll probably need to pay someplace to do it.
