Hyundai Repair: idling problem, accelerator pedal, throttle body

Question
I have a 1992 elantra with a 1.6 DOHC, the engine was recently overhauled.Engine starts but will run for a few minutes and die out. It will start right up again but it will die out within a few minutes.

Answer
Hi, Juan.  The first possibilities that come to mind are a mistimed camshaft or incorrect throttle body adjustment, since the timing belt would have been off and it would have been necessary to adjust the idle.

But there are many other possibilities.  Answering the following may help me give you better information:
1.  Did this problem begin immediately after the engine work?
2.  Does the engine run normally when cold?
3.  Will the engine continue to run when hot if you keep your foot on the accelerator pedal?
