Hi, Asif, I'm well.  Unfortunately, there is no one code nor any reasonable subset of codes that are the most common.  The check engine lamp will come on for just about any problem that affects the fuel management or the electronic transmission control.  

When your check engine lamp illuminates, the first step is to read the trouble code.  This will tell you what sort of issue you are having.  Let's use code P0100 as an example.  This code means that there is a problem with the air flow sensor readings (usually a flow of about zero when flow is expected).  In this case, you'd need to inspect whether the sensor was receiving the proper power and ground, and whether it's readings were consistent with the actual air flow.
