My engine light came on on a 2001 Hyundai 1.6 liter engine. In which I took it to the Autozone for a free code reading. It gave me a PO442 (i believe ) and stated a small leak in Evaporation Emmision Control System. In this case I replace the gas tank cap. I reset the code (erased) and in a couple days the light returns w/ same reading. Any other suggestion? this would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you truly have a small leak in the evaporative system.  It could be in the purge control valve, the leak detection pump, the canister, the tank, or any of the evaporative piping and hoses.  You can try to find this yourself, but in most cases an efficient diagnosis requires special equipment that only a repair facility will have.
