Hyundai Repair: brake lights/fuse, hyundai elantra, fuse box

Question
1999 Hyundai Elantra station wagon

I just changed my 3rd brakelight, confirmed it worked put it all back together, now the car won't come out of park.  I realized the brake lights also dont work at all, i assumed i blew a fuse.  What should i do?  How do i know which fuse goes to the lights to check?

Answer
If you look at the inside fuse box cover (left kick panel), it'll be labeled as to which fuse is for which items.  You're probably right that the brake lamp fuse is blown.  Simply look down the list on the cover to find the one that says "stop lamps" or something similar and replace it.  You should have a few fuses in the box that are spares.  These will either be labeled "spare" or will be unlabeled.  If your fuse continues to blow, you'll need to look into why this is occurring.
