Hyundai Repair: headlamps for Hyundai Accent 2003, hyundai accent, replacement bulbs

Question
My son has an Accent (2003) and the low beam on one headlamp doesn't work.  I bought replacement bulbs, but am having a difficult time getting the old bulbs out to put the new bulbs in. Changing bulbs should not be this difficult.  I must be doing something wrong.  I need your help and your suggestions. Thank you.

Answer
Here's how I do it:

1.  Remove the electrical connector.  This may require depressing a detent tab on the connector.

2.  Remove the rubber cover.

3.  Release the retaining clip from the tab(s) which hold it.  This typically involves pushing the clip in and moving to one side or another.

4.  Remove the old bulb, paying attention to its orientation.

5.  Taking care not to touch the glass on the new bulb, install it in the same orientation as the old bulb and clip it in place.

6.  Reinstall the rubber boot.

7.  Reconnect the electrical connector.
