Hyundai Repair: 2002 Hyundai Accent GL - wont start, slow blow fuse, starter solenoid

Question
No my car does not crank. My fuse box has a diagram, but I wouldn't know what fuse to replace, would I have to just go down the list using a process of elimination, or is there a specific fuse to look for?  Thanks.

Question -
My car was running fine.  Decided to clean the engine so I used a pressure washer to spray it down...big mistake, now my car won't start. Did I short out a fuse?

Answer -
Usually, the water adversely affects the ignition system most.  Presuming your car cranks, start by checking your plugs, wires, and coil.  If you don't find anything there, then your next step might be to check all the fuses.

Answer
Bob:  I was thinking about this some more, and the information below pretty much presumes you have an automatic transmission.  If you have a manual transmission, you won't have a range switch, but instead will have a clutch pedal switch.  That'd be inside the car at the clutch pedal itself and also unlikely to be affected by water intrusion.  Sorry for not thinking about that earlier.

If your car won't crank, start by checking the battery.  You should read about 12.0-12.8 Volts with nothing on.  If it's lower than that, you'll need to recharge or replace the battery.  Next, try to start the vehicle.  The battery voltage should drop to about 10V when attempting to start.  If it drops significantly below that, you've got a battery issue.  If it doesn't drop, then the starter solenoid isn't engaging the starter motor to run.

The items in the circuit are:
30A slow blow fuse (labeled IGN) -- underhood fuse box
Start relay -- underhood fuse box
Ignition switch -- on ignition lock cylinder
Range switch -- on transmission

If we presume there's a water intrusion problem, chances are greatest that you've gotten water in the range switch and may need a new one.  Try starting the car in neutral if it won't start in park.  If you have difficulty figuring out which is the IGN fuse, just look at all the fuses with clear plastic tops and make sure none are blown.  It'd be unlikely that you got water inside the underhood fuse box or damaged the ignition switch.
