Hyundai Repair: car stalls when ideing or buckes when driving itermitenly, throttle position sensor, air flow sensor

i have a 2001 hyndayi accent 1.6 standerd got it bran new, it is out of warenty 62000 miles the prob started when it would not start it cranked fine would not fire after about 20 trys it started when i got it home it would not start  i did not hear the fule pump come on i try about 20 trys turn the key on and off it came on    now the car starts good and runs fine but it intermitenly bucks at hiway speeds and dies at a stop ideling, most of the time it idels fine i had the codes checked  the map sensor was out of tolerence,changed the map sensor and the fule fillter.  same prob   the fule pump is working. it dose it hot or cold  i checked all sensor plugs for bad contact  all good.the spark plug wires were changed the car runs fine except for this problem could it be the crank anle sensor braking down? cam sensor? it seems to be a sensor   hope you can help thanks

I'd suspect the throttle position sensor.  Hyundai had a large failure rate of these sensors on 2001 Accents.  And it can cause stalling and bucking (and even confuse the computer into thinking there's an air flow sensor problem).  

Probably not the cam sensor as the car will run without it.  The crank sensor could be an issue, too.  But so could many other things.  

Your best bet here may be to take it to a good driveability place and let them check it.  It'll cost you more than doing the repair yourself, but you should have a pretty high confidence level that it'll be fixed right the first time, saving your money from guessing wrong.
