Hyundai Repair: Diagnostics, hyundai elantra, transmission control module

Question
Hi there.  Im really hoping you can help me.  I have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra VE that I bought in December.  Its been a good car up until recently where it seems that everything wants to break all at once.  My main concern though is the code its throwing.  No one seems to be able to tell me what this code is for.  Im hoping you can. Its P1529.  It just started reading it about a week ago and Hyundai does have a bulletin up about it, but it doesnt say what the code actually is.  Can you help me?  Thanks in advance if you can.

Sarah

Answer
P1529 means that the TCM (transmission control module) has requested that the ECM (engine control module) turn on your check engine lamp.  To find the nature of the problem, the code(s) from the TCM will need to be read.  The best I can tell you without the code(s) from the TCM is that it's a transmission-related issue.
