Hyundai Repair: code P 1167 Hyundai Santa Fe, hyundai santa fe, hyundai santafe

Question
Thanks for responding so quickly.  First I need to let you know my wife originally stated it is a manual transmission and it is really an automatic.  Secondly, there were no other codes given.  We picked up the car from the mechanic after having the timing and one other belt changed, new plugs put in and a vacuum hose replaced.  The vacuum hose was replaced because a check engine light read there was a vacuum leak. When we picked up the car, the check engine light was off, it came back on almost immediately.  The mechanic stated that it was a different read and he didn't know what it meant. I had it checked at another place and the reading came up P1167.  Since so many of the possibilities refer to leaks, if I could, I would like to know if any of the items he changed could have lead to this leak.   Thank you.

Question -
I have a 2001 Hyundai SantaFe-V6-Manual transmission, that has approx. 100,000 miles.  The check engine light came on and our mechanic used his scanner that gave the code P1167.  We only know that it has something to do with the O2 sensor.  Can you be more specific for us?  What does this mean and how is it taken care of.  He could find no definite information on it.
Thank you.

Answer -
The info I have is quite detailed and involved, I first need to know if there are any other codes.

Answer
Many of the procedures regarding this code do lead toward Vac. leaks.I would go in the direction of the replaced vac. hoses to be sure they are not crossed. If that all checks out I would suggest a good import shop or Hyundai dealer. I personally have never dealt with this code so I really can't give you any insight as to where to head.
Sorry I can't be of more help,
Good Luck
