Isuzu Repair: 2001 thermostat, upper radiator hose, leprochaun

how do you chande the thermostat??? I bought one then a dealer told me it would be $400.00 because you have to take the intake completly off is this true?

Well Gary if it is infact a 2001 3.2 v6. NO!! Did you look for a little leprochaun standing behind the guy? There usually is just standing there waiting to violate you as always:( The thermostat can be changed very easily Mr. Ward. There should be an aluminum housing that points to the passenger side of the vehicle if I am correct on the upper radiator hose on the front of then engine. Remove the three bolts and the thermostat should be staring you in the face after you remove the housing:) Next time you see the dealership make sure to say hello(:):)
