Isuzu Repair: Positive Battery Cable Corrosion, battery cables, battery connection

Question
I noticed some corrosion on the positive battery connection and the post, but foolishly ignored it.  Now the connection where the battery cable meets the battery has corroded off and the car won't start.  

I have a couple of questions:
1.  How do I replace the connection, any tips or tricks?
2.  How do I prevent the corrosion, is this a sign of a poorly grounded battery?

Well Christopher the corrosion is from high resistance in your battery cables. SO I HIGHLY recommend you just replace both cables and clean the battery posts with a battery cleaner brush. All in all it should cost you around 15-30.00 and will save you loads of time and money.
