Isuzu Repair: 2000 Isuzu Trooper, immobilizer bypass, dead silence

Question
This morning, I started my trooper, drove it 10 minutes on an errand, when I returned to the Trooper....it would not start.  Not only would it not start.....it didn't even turn over...dead silence.  Like I didn't have a battery.

1.  Cleaned off battery terminals.  They're fine
2.  Jumped it with another vehicle for giggles, not it.
3.  Hit the starter with a hammer couple times.  Nope.

Don't starters normally phase out with a grind and a groan?

It almost makes me think some microswitch in the anti theft circuit isn't closed allowing the starter to do its thing?

thoughts?

Answer
Well yes John the starter armature usually starts making a slight grinding noise before it leaves you stranded(speaking from experience). The 2000 Troopers have an anti-theft device and if the battery goes dead you have to have it either reprogrammed or have it reset 556U Transponder Kit W-Key Sense 1-888-376-9592
Either call that number or look at their website. It is an immobilizer bypass kit that will allow your car to run no matter what and it is only like $47.00!! Below I found this info at this website I believe so I hope it helps as well John. Thank you for your patience.

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
yellow/blue |-| Located in the
drivers kick in a white plug.
Trigger the power unlock and the factory alarm
disarm wires at the same time to disarm the alarm.

Once Located, splice into either wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

That should do it.

Now you have both ways
to solve this one.
