Isuzu Repair: repeated failing tranmissions on a 2000 isuzu rodeo, isuzu rodeo, computer fluid

Question
I have replaced my 2000 isuzu rodeo transmission 3 times in the last year and a half.  The last time I was told (6 months after the brand new tranmission was put in & the warranty still well intact) that the reason the 2nd new transmission broke was because something related to the brakes caused the new transmission to burn up?  Does this even sound like something that can happen?  Keep in mind both times the transmission was toast the warning light did not come on.  So $3000 later and less than a years time the check trans light came on (2 trans. later) They checked the computer & fluid & found no reason for this and I don't want to replace another tranmission, another FYI since it had cost so much $ my registration & inspection had expired so between the 2nd transmission & now the car has been sitting for approx. 4-5 months, so when the warning light went on this was the 2nd time I had driven the car w/2nd tranmission for the 2nd time. Does that make sense?  Anyway as I said they told me that the 2nd time the transmission failed it was due to a break sensor that didn't send a signal to the transmission & cause it to burn up.  Have you ever heard of anything like this?  And is there ANY validity to what they are telling me or soething even remotely close?  I's sorry but I am so frustrated with this I work at a hospital, I'm on call 24/7 and this is my only car and I can't be without a car or pay another $3000 for a yet another transmission with a warranty that they are not going to honor or make excuses and blame me for the breakdown, another theory they came up with was that the fluid was leaking (which it wasn't, there wasn't any reddish pink fluid on my driveway, and if it was leaking doesn't that mean that they didn't fix it right in the 1st place?  Or not fill it up when they repaired it. I just want some answers and I think they think they can tell whatever because I am a female.  In the last year and a half I haven't even put 50 miles on thia car.

Answer
Well tawny. If you do some research on Rodeo's they are known for their horrible transmission problems. And the brakes could have been seized causing the transmission to overwork itself and burn up. Did the Rodeo ever feel like it lacked significant power? The ordeal could be casued by a low voltage problem. These type of transmissions are affected greatly by voltage and by fluid temperature. So if the light never came on then something else is seriously wrong Tawny. I would highly highly consider selling the vehicle. This is only one of a number of problems on these models. They actually have law-suits against Isuzu right now. I am so so sorry about all of this. If a transmission does not last it could be due to the transmission repair shop, like doing a chop job and not knowing what they are doing. I would recommend like a montero sport or a nissan pathfinder. Much cheaper and WAY more reliable!!!!! Plus better gas mileage. If you have any more questions please please do not hesitate to ask okay?
