Isuzu Repair: 2003 Rodeo 3.2 L intake gasket, isuzu rodeo, warranty booklet

Question
I have a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2 L which just recently I discovered it was sluggish while driving and then the check engine light came on. OBD read codes 171, 174, 101 MAF sensor I was told was the problem. Replaced it and it didn't help. I had my mechanic look at it he said it was due to a leak form the intake gasket. I can't find my warranty booklet to check, so do you know if this is a warranty fix? I did buy this brand new. If not what is involved with replacing intake gasket and what would be approximate cost.
Thank You

Answer
The approximate cost if not warrentied is about 500 dollars Gerry. But yes it should be under a recall. If they say otherwise they are lying to you most likely. Although if you have exceeded your warranty mileage or terms then you will have to pay for the repair. This is a very common problem and will be the first of many problems with this model.
