Isuzu Repair: Rodeo starts fine but immediately stalls, isuzu rodeo, 1995 isuzu rodeo

Question
I have a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo.  I have never had any major problems with it, except to have the clutch replaced.  A few weeks after the clutch was replaced I had my first problem.  I got in and started it, and the engine turned over fine, but then it just stalled out.  If I tried to give it gas, it was like it wasn't getting any.  I had it towed to the mechanic and the next day they started it fine and couldn't find anything wrong.  Then I went about 3 months and it happened again.  I started it and it immediately stalled.  This time as I started it I floored the gas pedal and it continued to run.  I kept the gas down for a few seconds and it ran fine.  It has happened 2 more times since then.  It doesn't happen every time though.  Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

Answer
Well my first guess Melissa is that your Rodeo has a fuel pump/fuel pressure problem. I would start by replacing the fuel filter, and then have your fuel pump checked for any faults. As well as all choke and linkage as well for any faults. If this didn't help let me know and we will go from here okay?
