Isuzu Repair: 1988 Isuzu Trooper II, isuzu trooper ii, gas gauge

The front dome light, gas guage, and temp gauge do not work. They all quit at the same time. At first we could move the A/C / heater levers and they would come back on. later we would hit the dash, now neither work. The oil guage does work. It is the 3rd in the cluster and the rear dome works. The shop wants to replace the 3 guage assembly. What do you think?

WEll BArry, it obviously sounds like a connection or low voltage problem. I would recommend having a second opinion on this one. The gas gauge could be a separate problem, like a sending unit isuue or something. The dome lights however sounds like a connection issue. Like all Isuzu's have problems with, you are not the first. I would hate for you to spend uneccesary money Barry.
