Questionmy cd player wires were cut so i straight wired them and drove with a system for 2 weeks.. and then my battery gage started messing up, and the battery wouldnt charge, so i went to get a new alternator only to find out the old one was still good, but the battery had a bad cell, so i got a new battery, and i drove it for 2 days and it wouldnt hold a charge still, thought it was my system, so i took the cd player and everything out, still no luck, but i do think its a short in my dash, my dash lights wont turn on, but when i push in my lighter they do, and when i unhooked the cd player, there was a spark, and a ground was cut, but it was the cd player ground, im stuck, what should i do?
AnswerI ALWAYS ALWAYS reccommend a wire set that can be plugged directly into your old harness, Wiring it straight to the wires leaves alot of things to go wrong. Your stereo most likely is the culprit of your problems and is having a constant drain on your electrical causing you many problems, i would take it to a professional to sort it out.
