Isuzu Repair: 1999 Isuzu Rodeo Wont Start, isuzu rodeo, 1999 isuzu rodeo

It was reving when you first start it, but would be fine once you are driving. When you are at a complete stop it wouldn't rev, but the RPM would stay at 1. Drove it yesterday, but this morning after a cold, wet night wouldn't start at all - no lights, alarm or anything. Completely dead. Just put in a new battery about four months ago. I don't know much about cars and was wondering if there is anyway I check some things out myself instead of a mechanic (low funds right now).  HELP PLEASE.

oh my goodness, i am very sorry. I know how you feel. Try checking your battery posts on your positive and negative sides, makes sure they are good and tight, then make sure you didn't accidentally leave anything on. Your battery might be bad tho. Also, Rodeo's are very horrible for their main wiring harness ground coming loose, causing a no start condition, have this checked too, I would be more than happy to look at it for you if you would prefer. Or by a local shop.
