Isuzu Repair: 2001 isuzu trooper, 2001 isuzu trooper, isuzu trooper

2001 trooper, 3.5 liter engine, 90,000 miles. losing 2-3 quarts of oil every 3000 miles, smokes a little but not bad, tail pipe is cruded up at end of oil residue, all i did was change spark plugs, and later was told that this engine should have spark plug gaskets? ever heard of this? where do they go? on the end of plug cause wen i changed plugs, it did not have any gasket that i could see other than the washer on the plg? could this cause oil problem?  any ideas?  Oil is not leaking out anywhere, really believe my cat is gummed up with oil now cause i am getting dtc that is relative to the cat.

Hello greg, isuzu's are horrible for this problem, go get some lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer, four quarts of castrol 10-40w and mix in with your oil. then buy a couple cans of carb cleaner and spray your throttle-body down real good(don't be shy with it) this will help tremendously.
