Jaguar Repair: 1984 XJ6 Heater Core, heater core replacement, bullet points

Howard,
3 people have refused to do the heater core replacement on my car. Can you tell me what I am up against a couple bullet points for my mechanic. I found a sharp young guy who is willing to try it.

Hi Curtis,
Get the new heater core and note that the reason you can't remove it from the left side is because the pipe goes through the firewall. Just take a cut saw and cut the pipes so you can remove the old core from the left side and do the same to the new core and just put short hoses with clamps on after installing the new core.
