Jaguar Repair: header tank, brass pipes, speedway motors

Question
I own a 1967 e type 4.2 jag...and my heater tank has rusted out..how could I eliminate the heater tank as a reserve water tank?  Ive seen a similar jag that removed the header tank and use some brass pipes to go from the radiator to the engine.   thanks for any help ...

Answer
Hi Fred,
As I remember the header tank had the radiator cap in it in 67, so you still need some kind of expansion tank with a radiator pressure cap in it. I don't see how you can eliminate it. I know I seen aftermarket header tanks for hot rods etc. You may look to Speedway Motors or some company like that for a replacement if you can't locate a new Jag one.
