Jaguar Repair: ac compresser, auto parts stores, failure rate

hi mr howard if the superheat switch is pop out the litter pin in switch is the compresser any good or can it be repiard and what ar the presisers or what do u/// do to repair the compresser.

Hi James,
The Harrison compressor has a high failure rate and even the rebuilt ones do too. Many just start leaking at the main seal and there use to be a kit available from some auto parts stores but I don't know if they are still available.

I have not seen a full rebuild kit but you may try some auto parts stores to see what is available.

I have not tried to rebuild one but I have been told a few special tools are necessary.
