Jaguar Repair: 1986 XJ6 dies after running, correct fuel, fuel test

Question
Thank you sir, for your insight.

Performed fuel test as recommended: Both relays clicked, I could hear the rails hiss with fuel. I left the flap open for 15 sec's and then tried to start. The car will start, but chokes and sputters. I repeated the test, this time after starting i rev'ed to 2k rpm and held it there for 5 mins. car idled a little rough, but OK... put in gear and dies abruptly.
From reading ALL of the other Q & A's posted, I know a pressure test is needed next,... Any other tests I may want to run?

Answer
Hi Adam,
You need to establish correct fuel pressure first since you now know that pump is running. (32 PSI running and 42 with no vacuum on the pressure regulator)

Did you run a compression test of the engine yet? What was it? how many miles on the engine?
