Jaguar Repair: SERIES III FUEL PUMP, fuse panel, instrument cluster

Question
I HAVE A 1974 XKE SERIES III V 12---IT HAS BEEN RUNNING FINE.  LAST WEEK I STARTED IT TO PULL IT IN THE GARAGE. I HAD TO CHOKE IT TO GET IT STARTED- I PULLED INTO THE GARAGE IMMEDIATELY AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE WITH THE CHOKE STILL PULLED OUT.  I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS PART OF THE PROBLEM BUT THOUGHT I WOULD MENTION.
THE NEXT DAY THE CAR WOULD NOT START-- THE ENGINE TURNED OVER AND I CHECKED FOR SPARK AND FOUND IT.  I SMELLED GAS SO I LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE THINKING IT WAS FLOODED-- I TRIED STARTING IT SEVERAL TIMES OVER A FEW DAYS PERIOD TO NO AVAIL.  I THEN LET IT SET A WEEK AND TRIED AGAIN WITH NO RESULTS.  I REMOVED, ONE AT A TIME, THE HOSES EXITING THE FUEL PUMP AND TURNED THE ENGINE OVER.  NO GAS CAME OUT OF THE HOSES. THE CAR, BY THE WAY, HAS OVER 1/2 TANK OF GAS.
AFTER TRYING TO START THE CAR, I PULLED A COUPLE PLUGS AND THEY WERE DRY.  IT APPEARS NO FUEL IS COMING FROM THE PUMP.  I CANNOT FIND WHERE THERE IS A FUSE FOR THE PUMP (I ASSUME IT IS ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN). i WOULD, VERY MUCH, APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS YOU HAVE BEFORE I TAKE IT TO THE SHOP

Answer
Hi Rick,
I could not find a diagram of the V-12 ser III but I do believe it had the same fuel system as the 4.2 did and that is a fuel pump down in the tank and powered by a fuse in the fuse panel behind the center instrument cluster and it was about 5 amp and it should have the ID panel to tell which fuse does what.
Sorry that is the best I can tell you as I use to work on them when they were new but don't remember all the details.
