Jaguar Repair: Jag XJ6 Radio Wiring, radio wiring, speaker wires

Question
I have a 85 xj6 with a AJ8600 radio.  It is broken and I want to replace it with a retro looking after market but am having trouble identifying the wires.

On the power side, I have:
Red:  I assume for power
Black: I assume for ground
White: I assume for antenna
Yellow: I have no idea or may be unused by an aftermarket.

On the speaker side, can you provide info?  Am I right with the info above?

Matt

Answer
Hi Matt,
The Ser III Jag had several different radios but I have no reference to any radio number. However, your wiring seems to match one that had a six pin plug with the colors you state.

Red-- is from a 2 amp in-line fuse in the center console and is the power supply.
Black-- goes to a radio suppressor in the center console.
White-- goes to a connector then to white w/pink to the delay relay (in the trunk)(boot) for the antenna.
Yellow-- also goes to the radio suppressor.

An additional wire (Red w/white tracer) should go to lighting

A sixth pin in the plug was not used.
Speaker wires should have their own plugs
