Jaguar Repair: xjs windows,not working,voltage gauge,l/h mirror also not working, fuse boxes, voltage gauge

sorry but it is a 1988 3.6 xjs so understand if you cannot help - r/h drive car all of the above not working all the fuses are ok (4 fuse boxes)bought the car for my dads birthday so would appreciate any help to get some of it working as he has'nt a bloody clue with auto electrics,thanks in advance

Hi Chris,
I don't know if this diagram is the same as a UK version or not but I put the diagram of the window circuit up on my web site for you to copy.
I found that when working on any electrical problem to take only one problem and trace that circuit until I corrected it. Many times that corrected all the problems but if it doesn't just go to the next one and trace it.
Don't forget to check the rocker switches too as they are a high fail rate part on all early Jags. The good part is that they are easy to take apart and correct.
