Jaguar Repair: interior lights not working, amp fuse, trunk light

QUESTION: the # 3 fuse is or seems to be charged when i put fuse in it really gets hot and i have no inside lights help.

Isaac, What amp fuse are you installing in #3 fuse position? It should have a 15a fuse. If that is what you are using then you need to check all of the door lights and switches, the interior light, the antenna relay, the trunk light and the map light for a short. It can be at any one of the lights or their switches. There is no short cut, you will need to look at each one as it can be at any one of them. Hopefully it is not a short in the harness along the way as that will be the hardest to locate.
