Jeep Repair: Oil change/type/break-in, 350s, oil changes

Question
Hi Kevin:

I know these questions has been beat to death on various forums, but I'd like your opinion especially since you're in the business.

I've been thinking about purchasing a new GC Laredo with the Pentastar 3.6 engine.

1. Break-In   Do you think it's better to switch out the factory fill sooner than recommended---say around 500 miles or so ?  The assumption is to get rid of all the particles.

2.  What's your opinion on synthetic vs regular for this engine ?
The manual says use of synthetic is OK, but is there a clear advantage ?   (Some people think that if you are going to go the longer period between changes, then synthetic is better).

Would it make sense to use synthetic and change the oil at regular intervals ?

3.  Thinking about that break-in period, what's your opinion on (if you change the oil early) going to synthetic early on ?  (or do engines need the regular oil for a correct break-in/ring seating ?)

4.  Finally, if you have any comments on how to properly break-in one of these engines, I'd like to know.

Thanks a lot and hope to hear your ideas.

Answer
a brand new engine from factory with oil will have minerals in the oil  so change the oil at 3000 miles   if U want to switch over to synthetic after that  its ok.
The oil changes after that must be synthetic  u can switch back  also change the oil no more then every 4000 miles.

The running of the engine is not like the old 350s  if that is what U are thinking  just drive it how ever u want
