Jeep Repair: Jeep Liberty 2002 v6 3.7 L, powertrain control module pcm, powertrain control module

Question
My Jeep Liberty's battery was dead the last couple of times we tried to start it, it had sat for a mo. or two before starting, this may be related to this problem or not.  We got home and turned ignition off, engine cooling fan wouldn't stop running.  Got on the internet and a solution was to check relay, replaced it with one of the other that would fit, still wouldn't stop running.  read the motor fan assembly is going bad. So now we have a new part waiting, how to replace this?  Pretty handy, just need some help
Thanks!

Answer

DESCRIPTION
The fan(Radiator Cooling Fan - Typical) is electrically controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM) through the fan control relay. This relay is located on the left wheel house in the engine compartment.
