Jeep Repair: 2002 Grand Cherokee, jeep grand cherokee, radiator fan

Question
I recently spent a whole lot of money on repairing the damage the AC cooling system fan did to my car.  The Shroud was puncture.  The radiator was punctured. Anyway, this has been repaired by my own mechanic.  My question is:  Has this been recalled and would Chrysler have paid for this repair?

Also I would like to know if others with the same year and model are having trouble with the door handles.  They are not latching on.  I was driving on the highway and the rear door flew open and a box fell out, almost causing a serious accident, because it frightened the driving coming up behind me in the next lane.  That driving had to swerve, not know what was coming out of the rear seat.  I have been avoiding using the rear door, but this should be repaired.  This is the 5th vehicle I have owned in my life and I have never had this type of problem.  Please let me know if others are having the same problem.

Answer
Safety Recall F25 - Electric Radiator Fan
NOTE: The build date range for 2002 model year vehicles has been expanded for
this recall.
2000 (WJ) Jeep® Grand Cherokee
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles built from January 31, 2000
through June 12, 2000 (MDH 013100 through 061223).
2002 (WJ) Jeep® Grand Cherokee
NOTE: This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 4.0L engine
(“S” in the 8th VIN Position) built from February 4, 2002 through June 30, 2002
(MDH 020406 through 063023).
IMPORTANT: Those vehicles that have already had a new electric radiator fan
replaced, as determined by our warranty records, have been excluded from this recall.
The plastic fan blades of the electric radiator fan on about 182,800 of the above
vehicles may fracture and separate. This can damage the radiator and/or cause the
engine to overheat. If a fan blade separates while the hood is open, those nearby
could become injured.
The electric radiator fan must be replaced.
